Pure copper with a purity of 99.96% or more, it is inferior in purity to electronic tubes, but has different applications. Unlike alloys, it does not contain any added elements, so it has high levels of electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and workability that copper has, but on the other hand, it is inferior in strength. Unlike tough pitch copper, which is also pure copper, it does not suffer from hydrogen embrittlement even when heated to high temperatures. It is used widely in electronic and electrical equipment, bus bars, heat exchangers, and in the chemical industry.
