AB2 bronze contains copper, tin, lead, zinc, nickel, manganese, aluminum, and iron. The nickel content is typically between 4.0–5.5%, while the manganese content is typically no more than 3.0%.

AB2 bronze is used in a wide range of applications, including bearings, pumps, nuts and bolts, marine components, gears, non-sparking tools, propeller hubs, heavy-duty bearings, valve bodies, worm gears, wear plates, and fasteners.
